Job Title:         Senior Business Solutions Architect


Location:         Leeds


Salary:              Up to £50,000 per annum dependent on experience + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 10% + contributory pension

They are now looking for a Senior Business Solutions Architect to join their growing team.


You’ll be responsible for:


The Senior Business Solutions Architect plays a key role in helping the business realise its strategic objectives:



• Translating business needs into high level designs and operating models that act as a blueprint for project delivery
• Helping senior business stakeholders define the new capabilities that will need to be developed or existing capabilities that need to be enhanced
• Supporting initiation of programmes and projects which can act as a blueprint for subsequent project delivery and approval gates
• Developing and maintaining an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques
• Owns/maintains a view of capability maturity and plans to develop capabilities critical to their business priorities
• Proactively influences investment planning, through assessing alignment between strategy and capability development/architecture
• Ensures alignment of BAU, project and programme activity to target operating models and blueprints that describe the current/future operating model of the UK business – e.g. by reviewing and approving project / programme designs against the target architecture
• Ensures connections are maintained to other dimensions of the architecture including Organisation Design and IT Architecture
• Contributing to the process governance framework and identifying opportunities for improvement


You’ll need to evidence the following qualifications, skills and experience:



• Business Process Design
• Business Solution Design
• Business Analysis (ISEB qualified)
• Business Architecture capability mapping
• Information and Value Stream Mapping
• Conceptual and Logical data modelling
• Conceptual and logical data architecture mapped to capabilities
• Business process integration across departments, functions, Businesses
• Developing delivery/capability roadmaps
• Developing detailed information concepts models and mapping information concepts and associated information items to value streams
• Experience of developing business architecture
• Technology solutions mapped to capabilities (Both existing project deliveries and future tech needs)
• A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
• The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.  Those issues may exist in role alignment, process gaps and overlaps, and business capability maturity gaps
• The ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
• The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
• The ability to visualize and create high-level models which can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
• Experience developing and using these high-level models as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business
• Extensive experience planning and deploying either business or IT initiatives (preference for both)
• Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques (preference for BPMN)
• Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
• The ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate models between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology
