Job Title:         SAS Developer


Location:        Leeds


Salary:            Up to £55,000 + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 10% + contributory pension


Our client is now looking for a SAS Developer to join their growing team. As a SAS Developer you’ll be responsible for the design, build and support of SAS processes and reporting. This is a great opportunity to also research alternative technical solutions for changing business needs and SAS customer base. You will also be responsible for assuring that the daily activities of the team meet the requirements of SLA, whilst providing support for SAS customers by trouble shooting problems within SAS applications/environment.



You’ll be responsible for:


• Developing, enhancing and supporting the SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated Data Marts
• Working with users to improve data use and understanding
• Gathering requirements in accordance with the specification
• Performing system and unit testing
• Raising  the profile of Data Warehouse within the business
• Ensuring that development standards and conventions are adhered to throughout all projects



You’ll need to evidence the following qualifications, skills and experience:


• Extensive experience: SAS v9 preferably 9.3/9.4 with SAS EG (5.1, 7.1)
• SAS Modules experience: Macro, SQL, ODS, SAS Pass-Through (to MS SQL Server), SAS/ACCESS
• SAS Data Integration (DI)
• SAS Management Console
• Experience developing SAS processes.
• Experience working with extremely large data sets
• Experience supporting SAS processes
• Experience in performance tuning
• Problem solving skills within SAS solutions
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Works well in a team
